Category Assistant

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Category Assistant to join our Merchandise team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of category initiatives across our retail and trade channels.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple projects, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build their career in category or merchandise management.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work closely with Category Managers, suppliers, stores and marketing to ensure our promotional programmes and category activity run smoothly and effectively.

• Coordinating promotional campaigns across in-store and media channels, including national retail and trade programmes
• Managing timelines and ensuring all promotional activity is delivered accurately and on time
• Supporting the creation and distribution of promotional materials and ordering tools
• Working with suppliers, stores and internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution
• Generating reports on promotional performance, including availability and sales uplift
• Supporting supplier onboarding, reporting, and account management processes
• Managing price changes and ensuring accurate communication to stakeholders
• Assisting with SKU setup, product data maintenance and system updates
• Responding to store and customer queries in a timely manner

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and enjoys getting stuck in.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Confidence working with data and systems, including strong Excel capability
• The ability to build relationships across teams and with external stakeholders
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed

Experience in retail, merchandising, or working with inventory systems (e.g. Lansa) will be highly regarded.
