Category Assistant - Building Products

We are currently on the lookout for an exceptional Category Assistant to join our Building Products team at our Albany based Support Centre.
Retail is a fantastic industry to be in and this is a truly exciting opportunity if you are wanting to make product management your career path – promotions, buying, product development, supplier relations, negotiation, analysis – it has it all. You will also be mentored, developed and be a key support person for our Category Manager to help grow these interesting and varied categories. Within Mitre 10 there is a defined career path for anyone wanting to move into category management, with the Category Assistant the first, but critical step.
Core responsibilities in the role include:
- Providing administrative support to the Category Manager in range management.
- Updating product stock files.
- Involvement with planning and implementation of the category’s promotional programme.
- Communicating with our customers, stores and suppliers.
