🪵 About the Role 

• Based at our manufacturing facility in Silverdale (Auckland), this is a full-time, permanent role (45 hours per week) on either a day (Monday to Friday 05:00-14:30) or night (Sunday-Thursday 14:30-midnight) shift with a pay rate of between $34-$40 per hour (depending on skills and experience).
• We’re looking for an experienced Carpenter – Team Leader to take a hands-on leadership role in our busy frame-and-truss factory.
• You’ll oversee day-to-day production, allocate tasks, and ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved.
• This factory-based role involves the prefabrication of timber frames, trusses, and structural components using advanced computer-controlled manufacturing systems, including automated saws, truss presses, and CNC machinery, alongside traditional hand and power tools.
• You’ll work closely with the Production Manager to maintain workflow, quality assurance, and team performance while leading by example on the production floor.
  

🧰 What You’ll Bring

• A New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) Level 4 trade qualification in carpentry, joinery, or frame-and-truss fabrication (for example, the National Certificate in Carpentry Level 4), which meets the requirement for ANZSCO Skill Level 3 OR at least three years’ relevant industry experience in carpentry, frame-and-truss fabrication, or timber joinery, which also meets the requirement for ANZSCO Skill Level 3.
• You’ll be confident reading and interpreting construction drawings, operating hand tools and automated / CNC machinery, and applying your knowledge of NZ timber grades, framing standards, and NZS 3604.
• You’ll bring strong numeracy, accuracy, and an understanding of frame-and-truss manufacturing systems, along with proven experience leading, coordinating, and training a team while maintaining workflow, quality, and safety on the production floor.
• A Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s Licence.
