We also have a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant.

Partnering with Columbus Coffee, one of New Zealand’s most recognized brands, we have a unique and successful partnership serving premium cafe food and award-winning coffees from within our Mitre 10 MEGA Stores.  Our Café which is located within the Mitre 10 MEGA Warkworth store and is the hub of hustle and bustle, accompanied by the light, bright, open plan design it’s the perfect meeting spot for our local community to come together. 

About the job

Generous staff purchase scheme at select Columbus Café’s and Mitre 10 store; no night shifts (opening hours hours are 7-4); Opportunities to grow and develop within the larger team.  Full-time position for 32 hours a week. Please note that this position is based in Warkworth. You would thus be a local Warkworth resident likely residing in one of the following areas: Ara Hills, Hatfields Beach, Kaipara Flats, Leigh, Mahurangi East, Mahurangi West, Makarau, Matakana, Omaha, Pakiri, Point Wells, Sandspit, Snells Beach, Ti Point, Whangateau, and Whangaripo. Candidates outside of these areas will not be considered. 

About the role

Our ideal staff member will be a Cook or Kitchen Assistant that is self-driven, experienced and have a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service with the ability to work calmly under pressure is a must. 

What will you bring?

• At least a years previous baking or cooking experience, preferably in a cafe environment required.
• Understanding of FCP and H&S requirements required
• Experience working in a fast-paced café preferred, but not essential
• Flexible in availability – must be available to cover some weekends and public holidays
• Clear, strong communication skills is a must
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Most importantly a passion for providing exceptional food and beverages
