👨‍🍳 About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Café Chef/Café Cook to join our Whangaparaoa team. This is a 35-hour-per-week position with no night shifts (7:30 am – 3:00 pm), based inside Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa in Stanmore Bay.

⭐ What You’ll Bring
* Proven ability to run a café kitchen independently as the sole chef/cook, ideally with experience in a café environment
* Strong organisational skills to manage prep, cooking, and service seamlessly
* Knowledge of Food Control Plans (FCP) and Health & Safety requirements
* Creativity in menu execution while working within café guidelines
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing service demands and priorities
* Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
* Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
* Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
* Ideally, you’ll live locally or within a reasonable commute to Whangaparaoa for reliability and flexibility
