Located inside Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale, it’s a busy café where quality coffee and friendly service go hand in hand. This is not a stepping-stone role — it’s a place for an experienced barista who wants to work in a structured, professional café where standards matter and teamwork is valued.

🔧 About the Role

This is a full-time position for an experienced barista who can confidently own the machine during peak service. We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical ability, consistency, and the confidence to perform under pressure.

This role will require availability across weekdays and at least one weekend day as part of the roster.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering consistently excellent coffee to Columbus standards
• Dialling in, adjusting grind, and maintaining extraction quality throughout service
• Managing workflow calmly during busy service periods
• Engaging customers with warmth and professionalism
• Supporting front-of-house to ensure smooth and efficient café service

🎯 What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is already confident behind the machine. If you’re still learning the basics, this likely won’t be the right role.

• Strong, proven espresso barista experience (essential)
• Experience working in busy, high-volume café environments
• Solid understanding of grind adjustment, milk texturing, and consistency
• Professional and friendly customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Ability to maintain speed without compromising quality
• Reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic
• Availability to work at least one weekend day as part of the roster
• Based locally in Silverdale, Orewa, Red Beach, or the wider Hibiscus Coast/North Auckland area
