Assistant Accountant (Parental Leave Contract)

We have a 12-month parental leave cover opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our Support Centre Finance team, supporting across financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, partnering with the business, and contributing to meaningful decision-making, all within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing

Working closely with our Finance Business Partners, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information, while helping to drive better business outcomes.

You’ll be involved in:

• Supporting financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Ownership of some Cost Centres with P&L reporting.
• Providing insights, trends and recommendations to support decision-making
• Completing month-end processes including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Processing financial transactions (invoices, payments, expense claims)
• Supporting cost management and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Helping ensure all financial information is accurate, timely and audit-ready

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, detail-oriented and keen to grow. You’ll bring:

• A solid understanding of financial accounting principles
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience in an Assistant Accountant or AP/AR role
• Great communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP highly regarded)
