Account Manager Mitre 10 MEGA Papamoa

solutions for our customers. As we prepare for this exciting new chapter, we
are now recruiting 2 Account Managers to join our Trade team and help establish
and grow our trade offer in our new store. These are full-time roles, working 40
hours across 5 days, Monday to Friday.
This is your chance to join from the start, build strong trade customer relationships, and help grow our trade offer in a brand-new MEGA store environment.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll grow and manage a portfolio of trade accounts by building strong relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and delivering solutions that keep customers coming back. You’ll be a key contact for your customers, supporting their projects, driving sales and margin, and making it easy for them to do business with us.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Grow sales across a portfolio of trade accounts through proactive relationship management
- Build strong customer partnerships that drive repeat business and long-term loyalty
- Prepare quotes, provide pricing support, and offer practical product solutions for customer projects
- Manage account queries, statements, credits, special orders, and delivery requirements accurately and efficiently
- Monitor account performance and take action to achieve sales and margin targets
- Work closely with the wider Trade team and key leaders to deliver excellent service and product availability
- Carry out safe site visits and follow all Health & Safety requirements in store and on customer sites
What You’ll Bring
- A proven ability to build strong customer relationships and grow account performance
- Strong sales focus and commercial acumen, with confidence working to revenue and margin goals
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-first approach
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of building and trade products, or the ability to learn quickly
- Confidence using account management systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
- A sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements and relevant NZ consumer and trade legislation
