Senior Developer – Hybris

With a nationwide network of over 100 stores and a Support Centre with around 285 staff, this role will have you working at the cutting edge of mobile technology to deliver solutions that help make our stores’ staff’s lives easier and more efficient, whether that be within inventory management, inwards goods, Trade yard or other area of our fast-moving retail business. Within our agile development team, you will have a real opportunity to make an impact.
Due to the number of IT projects currently in play, we have a new vacancy for a Senior Hybris Developer for three years, fixed term.
To enjoy this role it is expected you will have a deep understanding of all stages of digital development, along with an understanding of the part you play in the end product. You will thrive on new challenges and not be intimidated by the unfamiliar. You will be passionate about your work and gain genuine enjoyment from seeing projects through, from start to finish.
Reporting to the Development Manager, you will be responsible for the:
Analysis, design, build, implementation and support of ecommerce solutions to a logical structure with the aim of continuous improvement;
Providing production support for end users, technical support where required, and ensuring quality software, reliable information and stable applications.
To be successful you will need:
SAP Hybris, C# or equivalent e-commerce experience;
Java EE / Spring MVC;
Operational knowledge of agile project and development tools, eg, Jira, Confluence and Git etc;
Excellent coding and digital development abilities;
At least five years’ online experience;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
The confidence to express ideas as part of a creative team;
A genuine interest in technological trends;
The ability to meet deadlines and think strategically;
A passionate approach to work with a desire to push boundaries;
The ability to explain technical jargon to laypeople; and
Experience within a fast-paced retail environment would be very helpful.
