We're looking for a professional, observant and proactive individual to join our Security & Profit Protection team and play an important role in safeguarding our people, merchandise and business assets.

About the Role

This is a frontline security and loss prevention role where vigilance, sound judgement and professionalism are essential.

You'll be responsible for monitoring activity throughout the store, identifying potential security risks, deterring theft, responding to incidents and supporting investigations. You'll work closely with our wider store team to promote a culture of safety, security and accountability.

Your ability to recognise suspicious behaviour, assess situations and respond calmly and appropriately will be critical. You'll need to be confident engaging with people, while always maintaining a professional and measured approach.

The role involves:

• Monitoring store activity to identify and deter theft, suspicious behaviour and potential security risks.
• Protecting team members and customers by helping maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
• Conducting security observations and supporting investigations into incidents and stock losses.
• Monitoring CCTV and reviewing relevant footage where required.
• Identifying vulnerabilities and recommending opportunities to strengthen security and loss prevention practices.
• Maintaining accurate incident reports, records and documentation.
• Working collaboratively with store management and team members to uphold security procedures and protect business assets.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who demonstrates:

• Previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, asset protection or a similar environment.
• High levels of integrity, honesty and personal accountability.
• Excellent observation skills and strong situational awareness.
• Confidence and sound judgement when managing challenging situations.
• A calm, professional and measured approach when engaging with customers and team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate incident reports.
• The ability to work independently, exercise initiative and make sound decisions.
• Good computer skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office. CCTV experience would be an advantage.
• The physical fitness and capability required for an active, hands-on role.

About the Position

Permanent Full-Time – 40 Hours per Week

• Five 8-hour shifts, Tuesday to Saturday.
• Based at Mitre 10 MEGA Henderson.
• Flexibility to work across store trading hours is required.
