With some of our Ferrymead team moving across to support the exciting launch of our New Prestons store, we now have full-time opportunities available for passionate, customer-focused individuals to join our Indoor Garden and Outdoor Garden departments.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Providing friendly, knowledgeable service and advice to customers

· Supporting customers with their garden projects, from houseplants to landscaping

· Keeping stock well-presented, replenished, and easy to shop

· Building product knowledge to help customers find the right solutions

· Working as part of a busy, supportive retail team

Department-Specific Highlights

In Outdoor Garden, you’ll be working with:

· Living plants, shrubs, and seasonal flowers

· Potting mixes, composts, and soil conditioners

· Garden pots, raised beds, and outdoor growing solutions

· Advising on plant care, placement, and seasonal gardening tips

In Indoor Garden, you’ll be assisting with:

· Garden powertools like hedge trimmers, line trimmers, and leaf blowers

· Irrigation systems, hoses, and watering solutions

· Fertilisers, pest control, and garden maintenance products

· Hand tools such as pruners, loppers, and trowels

What We’re Looking For

· A positive attitude and genuine passion for customer service

· Great communication skills and a willingness to learn

· Interest in gardening, plants, or garden care products

· Reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach

· Previous retail or garden centre experience is a bonus – but not essential

· Legal right to work in New Zealand
