Powertools/Power Garden (Part time/Fixed Term) - Mitre 10 Henderson

We're on the lookout for a friendly, enthusiastic Retail Team Member to join our Powertools and Power Garden department at Mitre 10 MEGA Henderson.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a knowledgeable, down-to-earth team where no two days are quite the same!
About the Role
You'll be helping our customers find the right tools and equipment for their projects, sharing your knowledge, answering questions and making sure they leave with exactly what they need to get the job done.
From power drills and saws to lawnmowers and garden equipment, you'll be surrounded by products that help Kiwis tackle projects big and small.
This is a 16-hour-per-week fixed-term position until 8 October 2027, covering parental leave.
Your regular working days will be Fridays and Saturdays (8 hours each day).
What We're Looking For
- A friendly, approachable personality and a genuine passion for customer service.
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
- Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Confidence learning about products and helping customers find the right solutions.
- Physically fit and happy in a hands-on retail environment.
- Previous retail experience or knowledge of power tools and garden equipment would be a bonus, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important!
