Inventory Controller


This role is focused on contributing to the overall success of the business by optimising inventory management within the store, maximising the integrity of physical and computerised inventory records and providing quality customer service.

This position is for a permanent minimum 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

This is a varied role which will see you spending time doing stock purchasing, talking with suppliers, supporting the stock team, quoting and ensuring stock pricing are accurate.  You will also be liaising closely with our Department Managers to ensure customer expectations are met at all times in regards to our retail products. Previous min. 2years experience in administration and/or inventory role would be advantage.

 

The primary purpose of this role is to:

  • Develop and implement strategy in relation to demand and accuracy of forecasting stock requirements

  • Manage the inventory systems to maximise efficiencies and minimise risk

     

To be successful in this role:

  • Must be physically fit and capable

  • Intermediate computer knowledge

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently 

  • Strong organisation skills

  • Can manage a busy work schedule and effectively prioritise your time

  • Can relate to a wide range of people and build relationships across different levels of the business, with good overall communication skills

  • Drive, enthusiasm and positive attitude

  • Have a head for numbers with an analytical and questioning mind, able to investigate and problem solve to understand variances

  • Have hardware product knowledge including houseware and/or gifting
