Fixed-Term Retail Assistants | Stanmore Bay, Hibiscus Coast

We're looking for reliable and customer-focused team members to join our Mitre 10 MEGA Whangaparaoa store in Stanmore Bay for the busy summer season.

Location and Hours

• This advert is specifically for our Whangaparaoa store only. Applicants must be able to travel to and work from our Stanmore Bay location and be available to start from 9 November 2026.
• We have a number of fixed-term opportunities available across our Retail and Gardens teams.
• These are fixed rosters and cannot be changed or split. Please only apply if you can commit to working one of the exact roster patterns listed below:
  • Retail: Thursday, Friday & Saturday OR Sunday & Monday
  • Gardens: Sunday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Saturday

About the Role

• Summer is one of our busiest times of the year and we're looking for team members who enjoy staying active, helping customers, and being part of a hardworking team.
• Depending on the role, you'll be helping customers with product enquiries, replenishing stock, maintaining displays, assisting in our Gardens department, assembling seasonal products, and supporting the team wherever needed throughout the busy trading period.
• No two days are the same, and you'll be part of a team focused on providing outstanding customer service to our local community.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Available to commence from 9 November 2026
• Able to work one of the exact roster patterns listed above
• Reliable, punctual and committed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
• Available throughout the Christmas and New Year trading period, including weekends and public holidays where required

Highly Desirable

• Previous retail experience
• Previous customer service experience
• Previous gardening, nursery or garden centre experience (for Gardens roles)
• Experience working in a busy customer-facing environment
