🧭 The Role

We're looking for an experienced Front of House Café Assistant / Barista to join our New Lynn team on a permanent part-time basis, working approximately 15-20 hours per week.

You'll be right at the heart of the café, welcoming customers, preparing and serving food and drinks, clearing tables, and helping keep service flowing smoothly during busy periods.

This is a fast-paced role, so you'll need to stay calm under pressure, work efficiently, and bring positive energy to every shift.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing friendly, efficient customer service
• Preparing and serving cabinet food and beverages
• Making coffee and assisting with food presentation
• Keeping the café clean, tidy, and well-stocked
• Supporting the team during busy service periods
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures
• Weekend availability is required, along with flexibility to work additional shifts when needed.

Who You Are

✅ Previous café or front-of-house experience (essential)
☕ Barista experience or confidence using a coffee machine (preferred)
⚡ Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
😊 Friendly, reliable, and naturally great with customers
📆 Available to work weekends and flexible with rostering requirements
🚗 Able to commute reliably to New Lynn
