Trade Counter Team Member - Full Time Permanent

Join Our Busy Trade Department!

 

AEC Hardware (Mitre 10 Mega Ferrymead) is looking for a bright, friendly, and customer-focused Trade/Building Supplies Counter Team Member to join our team in a full-time permanent position.

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be assisting trade customers while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our busy trade building supplies department.

Hours of Work: Tuesday to Saturday roster 40 hours

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

 

• Serving trade and retail customers at the counter and on the shop floor
• Assisting with customer account enquiries and processing transactions
• Providing product advice and excellent customer service
• Replenishing and maintaining stock levels
• Merchandising and keeping displays well presented
• Supporting the wider team across the department as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

 

• Have a positive, can-do attitude
• Attention to detail
• Enjoy working with people and providing outstanding customer service
• Be reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Have good communication and problem-solving skills
• Be physically fit and capable of handling stock
• Previous retail, hardware, or trade-related experience is advantageous, but not essential
• Be able to pass a drug test as drug testing is mandatory for all team
